Our regular dinner rendezvous (BunnyBee, Kopinut, Hub and I) this week brought us to The Glass Grill and Bar, a new place on the 7th floor of Suria Sabah.
This is a new place, less than one month old, has caught my attention when it was still under renovation. It was easily spotted because it was just one floor below the cinema that Hub and I always go to.
The decoration of the restaurant was simple yet contemporary. There are 2 sections to this restaurant; the air-conditioned area, and the “outside” open air which has a wonderful view of the town.
We took our seats and eagerly looked into the menu. Service was a bit slow as in we had to repeatedly ask for our menu, table settings and napkins. I guess the wait staff was still new.
There is a huge selection in their menu; salads, soups, starters, burgers, sandwiches, steaks, chops, grilled seafood, pasta, pizza, Indian cuisine, Asian cuisine, rice dishes, desserts, and a few quite interesting fusion dishes such as Lamb Shank Gulai. As well as a long beverage menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Tomato Sorba
Seafood Chowder
Nicoise Salad
Caesar Salad
Lamb Shank Gulai
Tandoori Chicken
Ox Tail Assam
Honey Glazed Chicken Wings - The BBQ sauce was yummy!
Food was nice, atmosphere was soothing with dim lights and quiet environment. This is a place that I will visit again soon. Hope they improve their wait staff quality.
See you in my next post! Toodles!
